Police in Dombivali, Thane, have uncovered a cache of weapons and fake currency notes from the residence of Surendra Pandurang Patil, a local businessman with a criminal record. In a significant police operation, authorities uncovered a stash of firearms, bladed weapons, and fake Indian currency notes at the residence of a known criminal in Dombivali, Thane. The raid was conducted following a tip-off, leading to the arrest of the main suspect, Surendra Pandurang Patil, who has a history of legal infractions.

The confiscated items from the raid include three country-made pistols, a six-shooter revolver, air guns, and hundreds of live rounds. Additionally, a secret bedroom concealed via a cupboard revealed sharp weapons alongside counterfeit currency with a face value of Rs 3.52 lakh.

The suspect faces charges under multiple legal provisions, and investigations are ongoing. The raid highlights ongoing efforts to combat illegal arms possession and financial fraud in the region, as informed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).
