The tension between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP has escalated with recent enforcement operations targeting the political consultancy firm, I-PAC. These raids, described by TMC as a ploy by BJP to hinder their election campaigns in West Bengal, have sparked significant political turmoil.
Conducted across multiple cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi, the raids are said to be tied to an ongoing investigation into alleged coal smuggling. TMC's state general secretary, Kunal Ghosh, claims these actions are a veiled attempt to uncover their election strategies at a critical time.
In response, BJP leader Rahul Sinha maintains that the raids are unrelated to elections and are part of standard investigative procedures into smuggling activities linked to TMC associates, highlighting the continuing probe's legitimacy.
