Daring Escape: Kidnapping Accused Flees Police Custody
A kidnapping suspect, Mohammad Sahidur Rahman, escaped police custody through a guest house bathroom window in Delhi. After being briefly recaptured, he fled again into a crowd. In a dramatic turn of events, a 24-year-old kidnapping suspect managed a daring escape from police custody in southwest Delhi. The accused, identified as Mohammad Sahidur Rahman, also known as Aalu, allegedly slipped away through the ventilation window of a guest house bathroom.
The incident occurred after the Manipur Police arrested Rahman, who was wanted in a Manipur kidnapping case, and brought him to Delhi on a transit remand. However, their efforts were thwarted when the suspect vanished from the guest house where he was held.
Despite briefly capturing him, Rahman evaded re-capture amidst a crowd. Authorities have now ramped up efforts to locate him, utilizing CCTV footage and conducting widespread raids. Meanwhile, an investigation into the custodial oversight has been initiated.
