In the Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, tensions flared as police had to employ baton-charge and tear gas to manage a crowd protesting the alleged molestation of an 11-year-old girl. The scene unfolded on Thursday, following the accusation against a 55-year-old man in Paddan village.
The protestors, demanding justice and the demolition of the man's allegedly illegal house, escalated the situation by vandalizing the accused's home and hurling stones at law enforcement. In response, officers opted for forceful methods to diffuse the unrest.
Superintendent of Police Ankit Jaiswal confirmed the suspect's arrest and assured that the village remains peaceful, with police presence maintained as a cautionary measure. Authorities focus on identifying the individuals responsible for disrupting peace and damaging property, with appropriate legal consequences to follow.
