Tragedy in Kusumbha: Ritual Sacrifice and Arrests Shock Village

In a chilling incident in Kusumbha village, a 35-year-old mother and two others have been arrested for allegedly killing her teenage daughter in a ritual sacrifice. The arrests were announced by police officials at a late-night press conference in Hazaribagh.
According to Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police, Reshmi Devi, along with a 55-year-old occultist and another villager, strangled the girl during a festival night. The purported aim was to cure Devi's youngest son of illness, based on the advice of the local occult practitioner.
The investigation has revealed shocking details, including the burial of the body in a garden and attempts to mislead authorities. The Jharkhand High Court has taken suo motu action, while local protests by the BJP highlight the tensions this grim event has stirred in the community.
