Dark Rituals: Unveiling the Shocking Sacrificial Killing in Kusumbha Village
A mother, an occultist, and an accomplice have been arrested for the sacrificial killing of a teenage girl in Kusumbha village. The incident occurred during a festive night when the girl was allegedly strangled to cure her brother, leading to widespread outrage and legal scrutiny.

Authorities have apprehended three individuals, including the mother of a teenage girl, in connection with a sacrificial ritual killing in Kusumbha village, Hazaribagh. The arrests were confirmed by Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan and DIG Anjani Jha during a late-night news briefing on Wednesday.
The arrested individuals are Reshmi Devi, the mother of the deceased girl, Shanti Devi, an occult practitioner, and Bhim Ram, all residents of the same village. The crime reportedly took place on March 24, coinciding with the village's Ram Navami celebrations, when the girl was allegedly killed to alleviate her brother's ailments, as advised by the occultist.
The case has drawn significant attention, with the local high court taking suo motu cognisance of the alleged murder. Meanwhile, political tensions have risen, marked by a 12-hour bandh staged by the BJP to protest the incident and demand action against the perpetrators.
