The Rajasthan Police has launched the second phase of its 'Anti-venom' campaign to curb drug abuse among youth. Religious leaders and community influencers are being enlisted to spread awareness and discourage drug use.
Inspector General of Police, Jaipur Range, Rahul Prakash, stated that religious preachers and Katha vachak will motivate youngsters through sermons and outreach activities. Educational institutions will aid in setting up de-addiction centers.
Phase two launches in Sikar district, targeting educational hubs with directives for district superintendents to collaborate on preventive measures. The first phase saw 229 drug-related arrests, highlighting the campaign's impact and ongoing efforts to tackle drug suppliers.
