Honoring the Guardians: Celebrating CISF's Dedication on Raising Day

Union Home Minister Amit Shah saluted the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on the occasion of their raising day. Shah took to social media to acknowledge the force's unwavering dedication to safeguarding the nation's vital installations and their exceptional service during times of crisis.

The CISF, established by an Act of Parliament in 1968 with an initial strength of 3,129 personnel, has evolved into a powerful entity with 2.20 lakh members. This multi-faceted Central Armed Police Force is tasked with protecting 361 critical installations across India, encompassing 70 key airports.

Shah paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation, underlining that the CISF exemplifies the highest standards of patriotism and professionalism.
