In a significant breakthrough, Thane's police have arrested a man allegedly involved in a staggering 48 cases of burglaries.

Addressing the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amarsingh Jadhav revealed that the accused, Shivaji Gopal Sante, had been a menace in the Mumbra area for several years.

After months of investigation, authorities finally apprehended Sante on March 2, recovering over one kilogram of stolen gold valued at Rs 1.39 crore, solving multiple burglary cases in the process.
