Jammu and Kashmir Police have made a significant breakthrough by arresting three individuals accused of drug peddling in the Pattan area of Baramulla district. The arrest was confirmed via a post on the official X handle of Baramulla Police.
During the operation, authorities seized 61 grams of a substance resembling brown sugar, 39 foil pouches, and a weighing machine from the suspects' possession. This seizure is part of an ongoing clampdown on illegal narcotics trade in the region.
A formal case has been filed at the Pattan police station, invoking Section 8/21-29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Notably, the police spokesperson did not provide an estimate of the contraband's market value.
