A 52-year-old man, Veeresh, was allegedly shot by his nephew following a road collision, police reported on Sunday.
Veeresh, heading to a Shiv temple, was pursued by five nephews in three cars. Near Garhiya Rangeen, his car was repeatedly rammed by one nephew, leading it off the road and into a ditch.
A subsequent altercation ended tragically with Veeresh's death. A land dispute is suspected as the motive, says Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi. Police are probing the incident, with a postmortem scheduled for the victim, yet no formal complaints have been filed.
