The Delhi Police have arrested five individuals in connection with the murder of a businessman in Outer North Delhi. The incident, which began as a robbery, took a fatal turn when 35-year-old Vaibhav Gandhi was shot dead outside his factory on February 9.
Officials reported that the assailants targeted Gandhi as part of a premeditated plot designed to steal from the plastic granules manufacturer. Following the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene with bags containing his laptop, phone, and documents. Although a social media post attributed the crime to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, police investigations have not confirmed these claims.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered the involvement of multiple suspects, including the alleged mastermind Sanjay alias Tau. The ongoing probe aims to verify details of the robbery-turned-murder and explore any connections to broader criminal networks, while the origin of the incriminating online post is being traced by digital analysts.
