Ex-Punjab Police Chief Refutes Allegations Amid Family Tragedy

In a tense press briefing, former Punjab Police chief Mohammad Mustafa firmly rejected allegations surrounding his family's involvement in the death of his son, Aqil Akhter. Describing the accusations as 'completely false,' Mustafa welcomed the investigation into the matter, emphasizing that it would ultimately reveal the truth.

Mustafa, a retired 1985-batch IPS officer, and his wife Razia Sultana are under scrutiny after their son's death in Panchkula, Haryana. Initially attributing Aqil's death to a drug overdose, the family later faced scrutiny after a video surfaced where Aqil accused his family of mistreatment.

Emphasizing his son's long struggle with mental health and substance abuse, Mustafa defended his family against allegations from Shamshuddin, the complainant in the case. Undeterred, Mustafa expressed support for a special investigation team, asserting his willingness to cooperate fully.
