Ambulance Misuse Sparks Outrage in Madhya Pradesh

An incident involving the misuse of a 108 emergency ambulance has stirred public outrage in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district. A video surfaced showing the driver, Bhagat Singh Yadav, transporting a young woman instead of an emergency patient, prompting authorities to take swift action.

Residents were alarmed when they intercepted the speeding ambulance, expecting to render help. Instead, they discovered that the siren-blaring vehicle housed a college student, whom Yadav misleadingly claimed was his sister. His failure to provide her name deepened suspicions.

The viral video of the episode spurred the 108 ambulance service to terminate Yadav, while the district's Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. R P Gupta, has demanded a comprehensive investigation into the matter, highlighting severe lapses in emergency service protocols.
