Waa Solar Secures Major Solar Power Deal in Madhya Pradesh
Waa Solar has solidified a significant agreement to supply 48.15 MW of solar-generated electricity to the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited. Waa Solar announced a landmark deal on Thursday, finalizing agreements to provide 48.15 MW of electrical power to the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL). As part of this venture, the company confirmed in an exchange filing the establishment of multiple power purchase agreements with MPPMCL, a government undertaking of Madhya Pradesh.
The solar power project, with its substantial capacity, marks a significant expansion in renewable energy activities within the region. Waa Solar will produce electricity through its solar facilities and deliver it to MPPMCL at a regulated tariff of Rs 2.73 to Rs 2.75 per unit over a span of 25 years.
This development underscores Waa Solar's commitment to fostering sustainable energy solutions and advancing the solar sector's contribution to meeting energy demands in Madhya Pradesh.
