The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in Telangana announced on Wednesday that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG, stating that current supplies meet the state’s demands. The state-level coordinator confirmed that public sector companies are overseeing the supply chain to ensure efficient logistics and swift deliveries.
Data from the first 20 days of this month reveal a 7% increase in petrol and diesel distribution, while domestic LPG bookings have declined, indicating stable consumer sentiment. Over 37.77 lakh LPG cylinders were delivered by April 21, consistent with normal delivery levels.
Customers are urged to use digital platforms for LPG bookings and to support the Delivery Authentication Code system to prevent cylinder diversion. The government is promoting piped natural gas as an alternative, with 1.03 lakh connections statewide. The authorities continue efforts to curb illegal LPG distribution.
