APTRANSCO's Power Push: Strengthening Andhra Pradesh's Transmission Network

The Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (APTRANSCO) is making significant strides to reinforce the state's power infrastructure. With projects valued at Rs 5,000 crore under implementation, the focus is on strengthening the transmission network to ensure consistent electricity supply.
K Vijayanand, special chief secretary to the Chief Minister, revealed ongoing preparations for additional projects worth Rs 3,000 crore. These efforts aim to support the state's power demands by building substations of varied capacities efficiently and on schedule.
During a recent review meeting, Vijayanand emphasized the importance of monitoring system performance and reducing outages. He directed officials to establish specific calendars for project execution and material procurement to ensure all initiatives meet the growing energy needs of the region.
