Amaravati Bill: A New Dawn for Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly celebrated a historic milestone on Wednesday as the Lok Sabha passed the Amaravati Bill, officially designating Amaravati as the capital. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hailed it as a moment of honor for the people of Andhra Pradesh, ending the ambiguity surrounding Amaravati's future.

Naidu emphasized that the bill's passage acknowledges the sacrifices of farmers and fulfills the aspirations of crores of people. He criticized the previous regime for its policies, marking this development as a turning point for building a 'Swarna Andhra.' The chief minister expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their support.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh echoed Naidu’s sentiments, underscoring the move as a 'victory of the people.' The decision is anticipated to strengthen investor confidence, accelerate growth, and bolster Amaravati’s cultural significance, while BJP state president PVN Madhav called it a solution to long-standing capital issues.
