Daytime Drone Devastation: Russia's Escalating Assault on Ukraine
Russia executed a rare daytime drone attack on Ukraine, resulting in four casualties in the Cherkasy region and damage to energy infrastructure and industrial sites in western Ukraine. Over 700 drones were used in the attacks, marking the second large-scale assault in just eight days.
Russia conducted an unusual daytime drone assault on Ukraine, claiming four lives in the Cherkasy region and damaging key infrastructure and industrial facilities in the western part of the nation, according to Ukrainian officials.
The Ukrainian air force reported that more than 360 drones were launched between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., out of which 345 were shot down. Russia also deployed over 339 drones in night-time operations, bringing the total to about 700 drone attacks within 24 hours.
This marks the second extensive attack in an eight-day span, following a similar offensive on March 24. Casualties also occurred in the Poltava and Khmelnytskyi regions, with affected western areas including Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Zakarpattia.
