Daytime Drone Devastation: Russia's Escalating Assault on Ukraine

Russia conducted an unusual daytime drone assault on Ukraine, claiming four lives in the Cherkasy region and damaging key infrastructure and industrial facilities in the western part of the nation, according to Ukrainian officials.
The Ukrainian air force reported that more than 360 drones were launched between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., out of which 345 were shot down. Russia also deployed over 339 drones in night-time operations, bringing the total to about 700 drone attacks within 24 hours.
This marks the second extensive attack in an eight-day span, following a similar offensive on March 24. Casualties also occurred in the Poltava and Khmelnytskyi regions, with affected western areas including Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Zakarpattia.
