Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Indian ambassador Abhay Kumar on Wednesday, addressing the escalating tensions in West Asia. The Azerbaijani foreign office released a statement, emphasizing shared concerns over the Middle East situation during their discussion.
Ambassador Kumar expressed India's gratitude for Azerbaijan's assistance during the evacuation of Indian citizens from Iran. Amid ongoing conflicts in West Asia, numerous Indian nationals have reportedly crossed into Azerbaijan from Iran, as noted in recent weeks.
The meeting also underscored bilateral cooperation, highlighting historical ties and collaboration in education, tourism, and energy. Minister Bayramov welcomed Ambassador Kumar, who pledged to strengthen Azerbaijani-Indian relations further in his diplomatic tenure.
