Uttarakhand Sanctions Rs 2838.45 Lakh for Development and Safety Initiatives

In a major boost to Uttarakhand's development efforts, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned projects exceeding Rs 2838.45 lakh, according to an official press release. This financial endorsement aims to elevate public welfare and district safety measures, aligning with the state's holistic development goals.

Specifically, in Dehradun's South Branch, Rs 495.77 lakh has been allocated for sewer line reconstruction, impacting areas from Laxman Chowk to Barrage Mehalgaon Chowk. Additional funds of Rs 243.14 lakh are designated for sewer enhancements and STP construction within the Pithuwala Branch, covering Shraddha and Priyadarshini Enclaves.

For Nainital district's Haldwani block, Rs 1455.09 lakh will go towards flood protection around Gaulapar's Indira Gandhi International Sports Complex, with an immediate Rs 582.00 lakh release. Furthermore, substantial amounts from the State Disaster Response Fund are set for Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, and Tehri Garhwal districts, underscoring a robust disaster preparedness strategy aligned with national earthquake risk mitigation efforts.

Addressing these initiatives, CM Dhami emphasized the government's dedication to transparent and swift project implementation. The funded projects are designed to enhance Uttarakhand's infrastructure and safeguard its communities against natural disasters, thereby significantly improving residents' quality of life and ensuring the development reaches all areas.
