OECD Warns of Downward Risk to Global Growth Forecasts
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann highlighted significant downward risks to global growth forecasts amidst an Asia-Pacific summit. The latest OECD economic projections anticipate 3.2% world growth in 2025, slightly decreasing from 3.3% in 2024 and adjusting from the previous 2.9% forecast in June.
During an Asia-Pacific summit in South Korea, OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann warned of significant downward risks to the organization's global growth forecasts.
In its recent September economic projections, the OECD expects the global economy to grow by 3.2% in 2025, down from the 3.3% forecast for 2024.
The forecasts slightly adjust the previous projections from June, which estimated a 2.9% expansion.
