Uttarakhand's Ambitious Sharda Corridor: A New Era of Development

In a critical meeting held at the Camp Office in Khatima, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami evaluated the ambitious "Sharda Corridor Development Project." Focused on aligning the project with public expectations and local beliefs, Dhami directed officials to ensure robust implementation across all phases.
The initiative spans approximately 200 square kilometers and aims to transform the area into a nexus of religious, cultural, and environmental significance. The Chief Minister reviewed 38 key developmental works, including Sharda Ghat's redevelopment and a new helipad at Banbasa, emphasizing timeliness, quality, and transparency in execution.
Additional projects include a mountain bike trail from Chuka to Chalthi and an international market at Banbasa. With an approximate investment of Rs 3,300 crore, the undertaking aims to boost tourism and enhance local living standards while preserving Tanakpur's historical identity. The CM is confident this will mark a new era in Tanakpur's development.
