Himachal Pradesh CM Unveils Rs 27.43 Crore Worth Projects in Solan
Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, inaugurated five development projects worth Rs 27.43 crore during a visit to Solan, including a new Industrial Training Institute and a Primary Health Centre. He also unveiled a significant human development report in collaboration with the UNDP, highlighting the state's progress despite economic challenges.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has embarked on a developmental drive in the Solan assembly constituency, launching projects valued at Rs 27.43 crore. During his visit on Tuesday, CM Sukhu inaugurated the Industrial Training Institute at Sayri, built at a cost of Rs 8.50 crore, along with the newly constructed Forest Rest House at Serighat, developed with an outlay of Rs 59 lakh. Additionally, the Primary Health Centre at Basheel in the Mamligh gram panchayat was also opened.
In furtherance of educational and renewable energy initiatives, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones for the Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day Boarding School at Mamligh, amounting to Rs 16.34 crore, and a Solar Power Plant at Kayasu, costing Rs 2 crore. On the previous day, CM Sukhu presented the 'Himachal Pradesh Human Development Report 2025,' collaboratively developed by the state's Department of Environment, Science, Technology, and Climate Change, and the UNDP, India under the theme of sustainable development in a climate-impacted world.
Speaking at the event, CM Sukhu underscored the importance of this independent assessment by a third-party agency like the UNDP, noting it as a testament to the state's successful policy initiatives and welfare measures. Despite economic constraints, Himachal Pradesh's achievements place it among the top five states in the country on human development indicators, thanks to a focus on self-reliance and dignified living, the Chief Minister affirmed.
