The government of Himachal Pradesh is spearheading a new initiative to connect the state's youth with job opportunities abroad. The Overseas Recruitment Drive, inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, aims to secure safe and legal employment for young people overseas.
During the event held in Una district, Agnihotri emphasized the state government's commitment to managing the entire recruitment process. This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to the motto ''Skills for Every Youth, Opportunities for Every Skill.'' The first such drive in Hamirpur selected 29 candidates whose visas are now being processed.
State Labour Commissioner Ravindra Sharma highlighted the initiative's safety measures, including a dedicated helpline and software for lodging grievances. Selected candidates in Palakwah, for example, will be employed as trailer drivers in Dubai with additional benefits and assurances for their well-being abroad.
