In a pointed critique of the past administration, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra slammed the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday for imposing bans on Chhath Puja during their regime, emphasizing that the populace has now rejected those policies. Mishra lauded the present government for its success in cleaning the Yamuna River, highlighting the absence of foam in the water.

Taking a dig at former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Mishra remarked, "Kejriwal gaya, jhaag gaya," indicating that both the previous leader and the unsightly foam have vanished. Current Chief Minister Rekha Gupta actively visited each ghat, and Mishra asserted, "No such government has come to power in Delhi, and those who polluted the Yamuna and restricted Chhath have been shunned by Delhiites."

Participating in the Chhath Puja rituals herself, CM Rekha Gupta expressed her joy and gratitude. "I am fortunate to partake in the worship of Chhati Maiya," Gupta told ANI, as she performed the concluding rituals at Hathi Ghat, offering Usha Arghya to the rising Sun. Across the nation, devotees gathered at ghats, riverbanks, and ponds, marking the end of Chhath Puja with hymns, chants, and traditional prayers.
