In a heartfelt tribute on Infantry Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the Infantry, highlighting their unwavering courage and dedication to protecting the Nation. In his post on X, Modi emphasized the Infantry's role as a beacon of strength and sacrifice, inspiring Indians with their valorous service.

The Indian Army marked Infantry Day, or Shaurya Diwas, with a solemn Wreath Laying Ceremony at the National War Memorial in New Delhi. General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, led the ceremony, honouring the ultimate sacrifices made by Infantry soldiers. The event was graced by high-ranking officials, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers.

Prominent war veterans, including Major Ashish Sonal, Subedar Major & Honorary Captain Kunwar Singh, and Lance Naik Amrit, partook in the commemorations. The day was filled with events like seminars and the release of an 'Infantry Magazine,' celebrating the legacy and multi-dimensional development of the Infantry, which remains crucial to India's defense history.
