Badrinath Temple Reopens for Thousands in Grand Ceremony

The revered Badrinath temple in Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalayas reopened its gates on Thursday after a hiatus of six months. The first puja ceremony was conducted in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's name.
Attended by approximately 15,000 devotees, the event saw Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasizing preparations for a safe, eco-friendly Chardham Yatra. The Chief Minister also launched a community kitchen to serve the visitors.
Decked in floral decor, the temple vibrated with the traditional 'Jhumailo' dance and chants of 'Jai Badri Vishal' as the portals opened at 6.15 am, marking the start of the pilgrimage season.
