Driving India's Tourism Growth: A Collaborative Vision

NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, addressing a gathering on Friday, highlighted the crucial role of tourism as a growth engine for India's economy. Introducing the report 'Divya Bharat: A Window to the Soul of India', he advocated for each state to cultivate world-class tourist destinations.

Bery stressed the importance of promoting extended tourist stays, particularly in domestic and religious sectors. He called for stronger collaboration between central and state governments, along with an emphasis on data-driven policymaking and infrastructure improvements.
