Damson Idris to Star in Netflix's Political Thriller 'The Lord's Day'

British actor Damson Idris is set to lead 'The Lord's Day,' an anticipated action thriller series by Netflix, adapted from Michael Dobbs's novel. Known for 'House of Cards,' Dobbs crafts a gripping narrative where Idris plays protagonist Harry Jones, an ex-spy entangled in a high-stakes political crisis.

The show is produced by Bad Wolf, a notable UK production firm with successes like 'Industry' and 'Doctor Who.' The series continues to bolster Idris's thriving career, with past credits including 'Snowfall' and 'F1' with Brad Pitt. Tasked with thwarting a dangerous hostage siege at Westminster, Idris's character Jones stands at the center of a national crisis.

Written by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent and directed by Ben Chanan, 'The Lord's Day' promises to deliver amid high expectations.
