Kanimozhi Counters BJP's 'Chargesheet' Allegations

Hitting back at BJP leader Piyush Goyal for presenting a 'chargesheet' accusing the DMK of fostering corruption and dynastic politics, DMK MP Kanimozhi declared Goyal himself originates from a political lineage. She argued many BJP leaders share similar backgrounds and therefore shouldn't criticize.

Speaking with PTI Videos, Kanimozhi asserted DMK representatives are elected not due to dynasty but by people’s choice. She slammed the BJP as a 'huge washing machine', alleging that joining the party purges previous accusations of corruption, while accusing the central government of using agencies to target opposition.

The Deputy General Secretary of DMK dismissed claims of the party being anti-Hindu, emphasizing Hindu beneficiaries of state welfare schemes and highlighting the renovation of 4,000 temples and reclamation of 7,500 acres of temple land under DMK governance.
