Netflix has greenlit a limited series adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's acclaimed novel 'The Corrections', with esteemed actress Meryl Streep set to star, according to a report by Variety. Initially rumored to hit the market in late 2024, the series will feature Streep as executive producer alongside Franzen, who is also adapting the novel for the screen.
Mark Roybal, Paul Lee, and Nicole Clemens will join as executive producers under the wiip banner, with Cord Jefferson directing and executive producing the entire series. Paramount Television Studios shoulders the production duties. The storyline promises a darkly comedic exploration of an uprooted Midwestern family resisting their matriarch's plea for a final Christmas reunion.
In a parallel development, Meryl Streep is set to return to the big screen in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', with Anne Hathaway.
