In a recent podcast appearance, actress Emma Stone confirmed that her former co-star Andrew Garfield lied to her about his role in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. While speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stone rehashed the moment she discovered Garfield wasn't upfront about his involvement in the film.
The actors first collaborated in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' in 2012, with Stone as Gwen Stacy and Garfield as Peter Parker. Fans were delighted to see Garfield reprise his role alongside Tom Holland in the 2021 Marvel blockbuster. Stone told podcast host Josh Horowitz she questioned Garfield about his appearance, only to be met with feigned ignorance from him.
Stone humorously recounted how Garfield was praised for his secrecy, even drawing a joking reprimand from her, calling him “a jerk” when the truth came to light. Despite the playful deception, Stone and Garfield have remained friends since their four-year relationship ended in 2015. Stone is now married to Dave McCary, while Garfield is dating actress Monica Barbaro.
