Drone Attack Disrupts Ukrainian Port Operations
A Russian drone attack damaged Ukraine's Danube port infrastructure, with stray incidents affecting Romanian territory. The attack, part of ongoing operations, damaged buildings and ignited fires, yet the port continues to function. Air defenses intercepted most drones, but multiple locations were hit, affecting residents and ecological areas.
A Russian drone attack has targeted critical port infrastructure in Izmail, Ukraine's largest port on the Danube River, causing significant disruptions and damage. While no injuries were reported, fires broke out but were quickly managed by emergency teams.
Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories reported damages to administrative and production facilities, along with railway infrastructure. Despite these challenges, Ukraine's seaport authority confirmed ongoing operations at the port.
The operation is part of a series of recurring attacks, with Russia launching one ballistic missile and 172 drones at Ukraine. Most were intercepted, but notable damage was reported across various locations, including six residential buildings and the Danube Biosphere Reserve. Meanwhile, Romania confirmed a drone breach into its airspace during the attack.
