NIT Tiruchirappalli, Kauvery Hospital Launch Groundbreaking PG Diploma in Healthcare Technology

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli and Kauvery Hospital, Trichy, are set to revolutionize healthcare education in India with a new Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Technology. Scheduled to commence in July 2026, the program aims to integrate engineering expertise with practical healthcare applications.
Offered by NIT's Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, the initiative includes microcredit courses, expert guest lectures, internships at Kauvery Hospitals, and student-led projects tackling real-world healthcare issues. The collaboration was formalized in an MoU signed recently by NIT Director Dr. G. Aghila and Kauvery Hospital Founder Dr. S. Manivannan Selvaraj.
Dr. Aghila described the program as a carefully crafted response to current and emerging challenges in the healthcare sector, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. Dr. Selvaraj emphasized the partnership's role in bridging academic learning with real-world practice, promising significant industry exposure for students.
