A fire erupted in a coach of the New Delhi-Chennai Grant Trunk Express in Maharashtra's Wardha district on Tuesday morning, according to railway officials.
The incident occurred while Train 12616 was en route to Sindi railway station, causing it to stop in the Sindi-Tuljapur section after smoke was detected in the last guard coach.
Railway personnel detached the affected coach, and the fire brigade managed the situation. No casualties were reported, and a detailed investigation will determine the fire's cause. Meanwhile, the train is set to continue its journey shortly, confirmed Central Railway spokesperson Sanjay Muley.
