Lemon Fetches Rs 13,000 at Vibrant Temple Auction

A local temple auction during the Maha Shivaratri celebrations caught attention when a lemon fetched Rs 13,000. The Pazhamthinni Karuppa Eswaran temple, located near Vilakkethi village, held rituals that attracted thousands of devotees.

Following the religious ceremonies, a silver ring, a silver coin, and the remarkable lemon, both associated with the temple's deity, were auctioned. The bids were impressive, with Viswanathan from Vadugapatti village securing the lemon, while the silver ring and coin were snapped up for Rs 33,000 and Rs 43,000 respectively.

Temple officials announced that funds from the auction would support temple development and the organization of special pujas. The annual auction typically garners high enthusiasm and participation from the devotees.
