Delhi's Vision: AI Centres of Excellence to Propel Startups

The Delhi government is set to launch two artificial intelligence (AI) centres of excellence in collaboration with the Centre, aimed at supporting around 100 startups. IT Minister Pankaj Singh highlighted this initiative as a significant step toward economic growth and technological advancement.

These AI centres will foster cutting-edge research, nurture startups, and improve citizens' lives through technology. The initiative is projected to train over 7,000 individuals and create more than 1,000 jobs, with each centre receiving Rs 20 crore in funding.

A central focus will be on deploying AI-driven solutions to enhance governance. These measures are expected to boost efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness in public services, thereby strengthening digital governance frameworks in the city.
