In a major boost to India's electric vehicle landscape, Tesla announced the launch of its Model YL SUV at a price of Rs 61.99 lakh. This marks the company's second offering in the Indian market, following its debut with Model Y last year.
Sharad Agarwal, Tesla India General Manager, emphasized expanding the charging network as a primary focus. The company plans to roll out services and body shop networks in cities such as Bengal, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Ahmedabad to enhance customer convenience.
Tesla is set to 'disrupt' the premium SUV segment with the Model YL, while looking to extend its charging infrastructure, aiming to connect cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and others with its supercharger network.
