In a bid to ensure seamless security, over 4,000 AI-enabled cameras and more than 15,000 security personnel have been deployed across Delhi for the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The technological measures aim at securing the prestigious event from potential threats, according to senior Delhi Police officials.
The summit, running from February 16 to 20, attracts participation from global leaders, major tech firms, and delegates from 45 countries. The Delhi Police Special Cell is proactively monitoring activity to thwart any disruptions, ensuring no negative impact on the nation's image.
Enhanced security protocols, akin to those from the 2023 G20 Summit, include anti-drone defenses, AI-enabled Facial Recognition Systems, and AI-driven smart glasses. Central Delhi's five-star hotels and key tourist sites are also under vigilance as part of these efforts, utilizing new QR code-based systems and thermal imaging technologies.
