The Ministry of Steel, along with its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), is participating in the India AI Impact Summit 2026, being held from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

In a significant step toward accelerating technology adoption in heavy industry, the Ministry has set up a dedicated stall at the Summit to showcase key problem statements from the mining and steel sectors, inviting India's AI innovation ecosystem to develop deployable, high-impact solutions across the steel value chain.


Driving Efficiency, Sustainability and Safety Through AI

The Ministry's initiative aims to encourage AI start-ups, innovators, and technology enterprises to create practical applications that can enhance:

  • Operational efficiency

  • Productivity and automation

  • Sustainability and resource optimisation

  • Workplace and industrial safety

  • End-to-end value chain performance

Through this engagement, the Ministry seeks to create meaningful partnerships that can address critical sectoral challenges while also enabling start-ups to scale their solutions in one of India's most strategic industries.

Such collaborations are expected to contribute to the broader national vision of a technologically advanced and innovation-driven India.


Exclusive Interactive Session with Steel Secretary and CPSE Leadership

As part of the Summit, an exclusive interactive session will be held with AI start-ups and innovators, led by senior leadership from the steel sector.

  • Chairpersons and Managing Directors of CPSEs

  • Leadership from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

  • Leadership from NMDC Limited
