In a match marked by aggressive play and missed opportunities, Chennaiyin FC was forced to settle for a goalless draw against Mohammedan SC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday. The home side dominated possession and frequently broke through their opponent’s defenses but were unable to convert any of their chances, much to the dismay of their supporters.

Head coach Clifford Rayes Miranda introduced Klusner Pereira for his first start in the Indian Super League, alongside the returning Maheson Singh and Imran Khan. However, despite their promising start and an early cross from Pereira that led to a corner, Chennaiyin struggled to find the net, with Eduardo Kau's header narrowly missing the target.

On the opposite end, goalkeeper Mohammad Nawaz was pivotal in keeping the scores level, notably with a stunning fingertip save from Hira Mondal's shot. As the game progressed, Chennaiyin peppered the opposing box with crosses, aiming for forwards like Daniel Chima Chukwu, but the decisive goal remained elusive. The match concluded with both sides unable to break the deadlock, leaving Chennaiyin to ponder their missed chances as they prepare for a clash against Jamshedpur FC on April 25.
