The Indian U17 men's football team faced a tough challenge on Tuesday, succumbing to a 1-5 defeat against the United Arab Emirates in the second of their closed-door friendlies in Samut Prakan, Thailand. India's sole goal came from Dallalmuon Gangte, who scored in the 89th minute.
This match followed their earlier 1-0 victory last Friday, as both teams prep for the upcoming 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. The friendlies aimed to test strategies and build team cohesion ahead of the major tournament.
India's preparations will continue with further friendlies against Qatar on April 25 and 28 in Doha. They are set to face Australia, Uzbekistan, and DPR Korea in Group D matches scheduled for May in Jeddah.
