West Bengal secured a victory over Tamil Nadu in the Under-19 girls' team final at the UTT Inter-State Junior and Youth National Table Tennis Championships. Despite Tamil Nadu's strong lineup, West Bengal's consistency and depth, notably from Avisha Karmakar and Syndrela Das, led them to a 3-1 win.
In a thrilling showdown, West Bengal emerged victorious against Tamil Nadu with a decisive 3-1 win in the Under-19 girls' team final at the 87th UTT Inter-State Junior and Youth National Table Tennis Championships.
Tamil Nadu, the top-seeded team, relied heavily on former national champion M. Hansini and rising star Ananya Muralidharan, who had led them to glory in the semifinals. Ananya clinched a crucial victory, but overall, the team faltered at key moments.
West Bengal's Avisha Karmakar set the stage by defeating Hansini, and after a win by Ditsa Roy, it was Syndrela Das who clinched the championship with a commanding performance, showcasing their team's depth and composure under pressure.
