India Makes Strides in Youth Asian Games Wrestling
At the Youth Asian Games, India celebrated silver and two bronze medals in wrestling, showcasing talents like Jaiveer Singh and Rachana, while their badminton team faced tough competition, exiting in the quarterfinals.
India demonstrated its wrestling prowess at the Youth Asian Games, securing a silver medal with Jaiveer Singh in the boys’ 55 kg freestyle wrestling and a bronze with Rachana in the girls’ 43 kg event.
While Singh was outperformed by Japan’s Yamato Furusawa, he previously showcased his strength by defeating Kazakhstan’s Ibrahim Yskakbek. Rachana clinched her bronze with an 11-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan.
On a less fortunate note, India’s badminton players faced tough adversaries, with significant efforts falling short in the quarterfinals.
