In a commanding start to their AIFF Super Cup campaign, Punjab FC secured a resounding 3-0 victory against Gokulam Kerala FC in the Group C opener, played at the GMC Athletic Stadium. The team's offensive prowess was on full display, with first-half goals from Muhammad Suhail, Nikhil Prabhu, and Princeton Rebello cementing their dominance.

Punjab FC's head coach, Panagiotis Dilmperis, orchestrated a formidable midfield strategy, deploying Nikhil Prabhu, Princeton Rebello, Manglengthang Kipgen, and new signing Samir Zeljkovic to spearhead their attack. The tactical approach paid off almost immediately, with Muhammad Suhail's early goal setting the tone for a high-intensity matchup.

Despite Gokulam Kerala's attempts to challenge in the second half, Punjab's solid defensive strategies remained unyielding. Even after Gokulam made strategic changes, the Shers' defence, buoyed by a range of substitutions, maintained their grip. As Gokulam struggled to break through, a late red card for Trijoy Dias cemented Punjab's dominance, leaving them prepared for their next encounter with Mohammedan SC.
