The controversy stirred during the Bihar assembly elections when BJP leader Amit Malviya shared an interview claiming Masood compared Singh and Hamas. Masood countered the accusation, stating his words were misrepresented by BJP in a political strategy.
Masood reiterated his stance against violence and explained his intent to highlight the fight for land by both entities, not to equate them. He accused BJP of distorting his words and diverting from real national issues.
