Hamas Set to Handover Hostage Body Amid Ongoing Search Efforts

In a significant development, Hamas' armed wing announced on Monday it will hand over the body of a deceased hostage recovered in Gaza. The handover is scheduled for 9 p.m. (1800 GMT) and marks a pivotal step in resolving some elements surrounding hostages in the region.
The ongoing effort to recover the remains of 13 additional hostages has faced challenges, primarily due to the extensive rubble from recent conflicts. The Israeli government, addressing these issues, pointed out that Hamas should be aware of the bodies' locations.
To expedite recovery operations, Israel has facilitated the entrance of an Egyptian technical team tasked with collaborating alongside the Red Cross. Their mission involves utilizing excavators and trucks in areas beyond the yellow line in Gaza, which has been delineated as part of President Trump's Gaza plan.
