Tragic Fall Claims Life of Forest Worker
A forest department worker, Anand Lal, died after falling into a gorge while clearing dry leaves to prevent forest fires in Birla Chungi. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the hospital. Lal was a temporary employee for the fire season.

Anand Lal, a 53-year-old contractual worker in the forest department, tragically lost his life after slipping into a gorge in Birla Chungi. The incident occurred on Friday while Lal was engaged in preventive measures to mitigate forest fires.
Lal, a resident of Birla Chungi, was clearing dry leaves to combat the risk of summer wildfires. Sadly, while performing his duties, he lost his footing on a rock, resulting in his fatal fall into the gorge.
Forest department officials and family members quickly responded to the scene. Tragically, despite prompt medical attention at a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced Lal dead upon arrival. Naina Range Officer Lalit Mohan Karki noted that Lal was hired temporarily for forest fire prevention.
