Across Rajasthan, temperatures have soared beyond 40 degrees Celsius, with Sri Ganganagar recording a staggering 44.5 degrees, according to the meteorological centre. The extreme heat is expected to persist, potentially intensifying in the coming days.

The Jaipur meteorological office reported heatwave and warm night conditions in several areas. Maximum temperatures of 40-42 degrees Celsius, around the seasonal norm, were noted, though predictions point towards further rises by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Heatwaves could affect isolated areas in the state's western and northeastern regions.

Due to a weak western disturbance, isolated dust storms and thunderstorms might hit parts of western Rajasthan starting April 25, extending through April 28 with possible light rain or drizzle, meteorologists said.
